"I Heard Her Say" is a song sparked by the proximity of diner conversations, which cover a wide range of topics such as New Year resolutions and homeless isolation. The overlapping conversations simultaneously pour into the ears on each side of the listener's head to bubble and overflow across the bicameral antechambers of the mind. A succession of instruments follow the rhythm of two floating guitar chords to illustrate the strange resonance one experiences when listening to a symphonic restaurant orchestra.
